Will Sourav Captain Knight Riders in IPL 2??

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is still not certain whether former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly would lead the side in season 2 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), KKR CEO Joy Bhattacharya played down the issue completely saying that it is not being discussed at the moment at all.

But in a surprise announcement made by the coach John Buchanan earlier, the Aussie coach said that the issue of captaincy was under discussion. “We are deciding about the captaincy. We are still having discussion on the issue,” Buchanan said, while announcing the final 28-member squad of the Kolkata outfit.

Throwing light on the matter, a KKR insider revealed that Buchanan might have been quoted out of context. “We haven’t had any discussions with John regarding the matter and I have a feeling that the Australian was quoted out of context,” the KKR official told press on Sunday.

Buchanan, meanwhile, set a realistic target of making at least the final in the season 2 and hoped to do well. “From our perspective, the target will certainly be to make it to the final…
