Dwayne Bravo, the Hero of the triumphant West Indies Team credited the match winning all round display to Indian Premier League which came about after he was declared unfit for the national test squad. The stunning performance of this player helped West Indies win over defending champions India in the Twenty20 World Cup.
Bravo first picked up four wickets and returned to smash a 36-ball 66 to power West Indies to a seven-wicket win over India in a Super Eight stage match on Friday.
Bravo said that playing in IPL helped him gain a lot of experience and sharing the dressing room with some of the best players in the world helped him contribute well.
Bravo, who played for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, thanked his captain Chris Gayle for sending him up the order at number four.
He further said that although the team continues to depend heavily on Gayle for a good start but there are players in the side who can chip in if the skipper gets out early.
