Hero Honda Cup 2009: 4th ODI: India vs Australia
India’s Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag have picked up injuries and are doubtful to open in the Mohali match. The wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik has been called up to the squad as cover for the openers.
Gambhir was struck on neck by full-blooded pull from Ponting while fielding at short leg and a yorker from Peter Siddle crashed into Sehwag’s foot.
In the Australian side, James Hopes who had picked up hamstring strain in the first ODI is flying back home. Clint McKay has joined the squad after Moises Henriques and Graham Manou. Mitchell JOhnsonis playing despite a sore ankle.
If India wins the MOndays contest, they will claim the No. 1 ranking in one-day internationals.
