CSK wins against RCB at Chennai

Finally a hard earned victory for the Chennai Super Kings has arrived at the Chepauk against the formidable RCB at Chennai. This looked doom in the final 3 overs of the Chennai Innings when they looked like messing up the chase of moderate 161 just as they did against KingsXI punjab in their last match at this ground. But Suresh Raina held his nerve to see chennai home as well as surpass Gilchrist to the highest run scorer for all the 3 IPLs combined.
It was a disclipined bowling performance by Chennai with their spinners coming to the fore as Jakati picked up 2 wickets and Murali held a tight least in his 4 overs. These two are primarily responsible for keeping the RCB to a moderate total of 161 as the pacers Albie Morkel and Gony went for lots of runs again. This is second match in succession when Murali Vijay blasted a 79 which followed a brisk 40 against the Royals and this time he put chennai in the correct end of the result. His shots were a purist delight with perfect balance and timing and in the company of Raina,he was making the Chennai chase crusing along. It would have been better had he finished off since it would have given a better net run rate for chennai.NRR seems to be the key as the positions 2 to 7 looks to jampacked and there is going to be lot of travelling up and down in the points table for the next 2 weeks.
RCB lost the momentum with the run out of kallis, though their bowling looks good with kumble and steyn giving a tough fight at the second half of the match.
All said its a good enough start for the next round of matches for chennai and with 4 more matches in Chennai, would look to keep the momentum going.
